I never set out to paint because I had a story to tell. Painting simply became a place where I could be completely myself.

I have experienced a lot of loss in my life, losing both of my brothers, my father, and later my mom. Those experiences are part of my story, but they are not what defines my art. Instead, they helped me discover just how powerful creating can be.

Painting has become my therapy—my place to quiet everything else and simply create. I can sit down with a blank canvas and become completely lost in it for hours. In those moments, I’m not thinking about anything else. I’m choosing colors, building layers, creating movement, and letting the painting take me wherever it wants to go.

There is something incredibly rewarding about stepping back and seeing a blank canvas transformed into something beautiful that came entirely from a part of me.

My paintings aren’t about sadness. They’re about what painting has given me: peace, happiness, healing, freedom, and a way to express things I can’t always put into words.

Every piece in The Juleanne Collection holds a little part of me and a moment in my journey. That’s what makes creating—and sharing my work with others—so meaningful.
